Tell us about your job.
I'm a presenter on BBC Radio 1Xtra, continuity voice on London Live, general voice over for random adverts and club selector!

How did you get to where you are today?
I'm the 5th out of 6 children so I have always needed to talk a lot to get myself heard! I was subconsciously obsessed with radio when I was growing up. I listened to everything from local pirate Garage stations, Capital, Choice, KISS and Classic FM with my dad!

I started out in radio as a marketing intern at KISS FM. I was only supposed to stay 3 months but ended up staying just a bit longer and becoming a coordinator for the whole station.

Whilst holding down the 9-5 in the office, I was also doing voice overs for them and doing pre-recorded shows. At the end of my time there, I was presenting the drive time show and my own Saturday morning show, then I was offered an opportunity to go to BBC Radio 1Xtra and I would have been a fool to say no, so off I went last September and here I am today!

What was the first album you ever bought?
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, and I still love it to this day!

Who's your favourite female artist / girl group?
That's a genuinely hard question! Off the top of my head right now, girl group, I'd say TLC because of their originality with their look and sound, and female artist Beyonce! Horrendously predictable but come on, who's actually better than her right now?!

Who would you love to interview and who has been the best to interview so far?
I would love to interview Oprah, just to learn from her! My favourite interviews have been Solange, because she taught me her 'Losing You' dance and Drake, because he was friendly and chilled.

Any up and coming artists we should be listening out for?
There's a singer called LIZ that I really like, she's signed to Diplo's label. Another singer called Maxine Ashley who is great, I'm obsessed with her mix tape and a rapper called Lil Simz who's very talented.

Nice. So on to clothing!...Name us one thing you'll be wearing the most this Summer?
Bright, high waisted shorts!

Who are your personal favourite designers/ brands?
I am absolutely in love with a Swedish brand called Monki, they do great basics as well as dressy/ casual pieces. I also love & Other Stories too. GoGo Philip do brilliant costume jewellery.

1. GoGo Philip; Long N Pandora Bianca necklace £110. E Imperial Gold Letter Hoops £35.
2. & Other Stories; Gem print jersey dress £35.
3. Monki; PC Joline jersey & mesh dress £30.

And what inspires what you choose to wear?
Comfort! I have to be comfortable at all times. I was quite athletic in school, so I love clothes with a sporty but feminine aesthetic.

Tell us about your outfit.
The dress is from H&M, the earrings are Go Go Philip and my trainers are pre hype Air Max 1's haha.

Who is your girl crush at the moment?
Solange Knowles always has the wicked style. Gwen Stefani stays killing it, Ashley Madekwe always looks great and I love me some Lupita Nyong'o!

Where do you like to shop?
Carnaby Street, Selfridges and Etsy.com also has good finds!

Shoes or trainers?
TRAINERS. Nike for life mate....although at one point I would love some Terry De Havilland Margaux wedges

This summer, you'll be at...
Festivals and carnivals. Radio 1's Big Weekend, Wireless, Lovebox, Notting Hill Carnival, Brixton Splash, Bestival. I just want to be dancing.

Safe people. I very much subscribe to the "GOOD VIBES ONLY" way of thinking when it comes to friends.

Tequila. I've recently realised that most booze makes me sleepy, I've been known to kip in the club *shame face*. Apparently Tequila is an upper!

Listening to...
Garage, it always sounds better in the Summer!

And talking about...
Furniture. I'm hopefully moving in to a new flat, so I'll be boring people with Ikea chat.

Constant playing with volume and silhouette, vibrant colours, strong use of print, layers, textures, interesting fabrics, Solange Knowles doesn't rule anything out. And it's her confidence to step away from the safe and really experiment with her style that sets her aside from many.
She's our Girl Crush this week for her super hot style....and that's without any mention of her sweet 90's r&b/ soul sounding voice.

Here's a selection of our favourite looks...it was a bit to tricky to narrow these down.

A bit of girl power for a Friday afternoon..... So I was reading Vogue earlier... and by reading I actually mean reading (not just flicking through looking at the pretty pictures imagining myself with enough money to buy a beautiful bag) Chloe Fox's article 'The Great British Model'.  Its a really interesting piece looking at models who have become super and why... She suggests that British models more than any other country have personality's that set them apart from being just another pretty face to becoming an icon, a celeb and a real person.
Eddie Cambell picked up model of the year last year and she lives up to the quirky Brit model style, don't get me wrong she is bloody beautiful but its the way that she can transform herself into all different personality's and make us believe them all that makes her special...
It's a really fun article and does make you think.... 'you don't book an English girl because she's commercial, you book her for her personality' says the booking editor at Vogue.
Tim Walker kinda sums it up... 'Don't forget that the girls we now think of as great beauties were once considered freaks.  People were laughing at Karen Elson in the studio because she looked like an alien...
Kate Moss was a skinny 5ft 7in waif no one had seen the likes of before
Stella Tennant had a nose ring and a shaved head
Sophie Dahl was plus sized
And that is what the United Kingdom has always done so brilliantly.  Because we are an island, a punk nation, we are constantly challenging accepted notions of beauty.  Beauty without personality is not beautiful"  GO TIM what a nice sounding man! It is so true though there's a bit in the article where Twiggy who is now a judge on Americas next top model explains how the prettiest girls in the room the ones at first your sure are going to win go straight out if they are boring with no vibes as it shines through on the camera.

And lets not forget it girl of the moment Cara Delevingne....

Yes she is beautiful, but why is she everywhere all the time.... because she's a personality she doesn't really seem to give a fuck
and because her and Rhi Rhi seem to actually genuinely be bessie mates
And if you hate her its because your jealous ;)

Melody Eshani teamed up with Reebok again earlier this year and did one of the best re releases of the Reebok pump I've seen in a while... the mad all over snake skin kinda just works because its such a statement style anyway.  Anyway that's old news.... whats exciting right now is that Melody has just released a clothing range....
And its AWESOME!!! Mainly focused on prints and play on words with the I LOVE M.E. slogan.  Its nice to see a cool fresh collection that's not super girly. Nice one Melody... go buy a T hear http://melodyehsani.com/
